be a man - build a car

Ok, so this post is dedicated to all guys out there ( no offense ladies).

My task for you this time is:

turn this car

into this car

Sounds too hard?
Ok, don't get discouraged. I'm not really expecting you to completely build up a Ford Mustang. I wouldn't do it either. Basically cause i don't have the Money for it right now, and I really don't like the electricity parts of restoring a car...
But I am asking you guys to be at least able to change a tire!!!

And it's not just repairing our cars that we should at least have a basic knowledge about as a man. I'm not sexist or anything at all, but still...I'm convinced that there should be some male and female 'parts' of life. Now don't think I just want to sit on the couch and watch football while the lady of the house is cooking and bringing me beer (if you support my club, it's no fun anyway), but you should be aware of YOU being a man. You don't have to grunt, and show no feelings. I think you should (!) be able to show your feelings. It's important in a relationship and also in friendships. But maybe keep it on a 'masculine' level without too much gimcrackery;)
But I really think it is also important in a relationship, and especially as the head of a family, that you as the man, know how to fix at least basic stuff in the house or to build stuff out of wood or metal if your wife needs a retainer, that is not existing, for her flower bucket. Build up the closets and hang up the pictures guys ( straight of course). And take care of painting rooms and hanging up the nice baroque style wallpaper your wife chose.

You don't have to be a macho, but be a MAN.

Oh and this does not just go out to guys in a relationship!!! Single guys, it's definitely as important for you. If a girl enters your home and, if you even have color on the walls, it looks all patchy. The pictures are hanging crooked. And the furniture is built up scruffy and uneven. What do you think will pop up in her mind?
A: ''Oh he doesn't care about the little things. I guess he's just thinking about love or Platon (the old greek guy) instead of making his hands dirty''
B: ''If this guy can not even build up an Ikea shelf, how should he take care of a whole house?''

Well probably neither A nor B, but I hope you know where I'm going with the point;)

So guys if you don't have one, go out and buy yourself a toolbox (and tools to put in there of course), put on your 'Man-pants' to make some decisions, stand tall and be the man you want to be.
